Hook & eye closures are all over the place… and if you are female and reading this (and wear bras) well, chances are you are already highly experienced.
Here’s a lovely vintage poster for hook & eye closures. “They cannot unhook except at the will of the wearer.” (Riiiggght).
Many of the necklaces we have use a hook & eye closure. Sometimes these pesky hooks can be tricky little buggers if they are too tight… you may find them impossible to undo (even at your will). In this case, an easy fix is to simply squeeze in your fingernail between the hump and the hook to widen the space:
Loosen here.
And should you find that they become a little too loose, and it unhooks too easily, simply pinch the hook back towards the hump.
