I recently saw a conversation on Dance Forum about how to wear very short hair for Standard competition (for ladies). Hair ornaments came up, and so did the mention of tiaras… although not princess tiaras like what you normally consider, but rather that is the term to describe a circlet worn more towards the front of the head. I’m not sure how common that term is, but I found it interesting because not long ago we started adding exactly these style of accessories and we didn’t know what to call them.
Currently they are listed under Headbands but we are considering making their own separate category. A friend of ours suggested “fornament” for forehead-ornament. Maybe “foreband”? We’re not sure! Feel free to email us if you have an idea!
